Yes, Kathryn Grace, of the small town of Atlanta Indiana, you are somebody to take note of.
This story starts when my buddy, a friend for over 50 years, visited me in Texas. As a teen, Jimmy often sang a song he wrote and it was engraved in my memory. I asked him what ever happened to that tune, which come to find out, only he and I remembered it.
After the visit, my wheels were turning. I asked if he would be okay if I found someone to do their rendering with his lyrics. He said sure, why not.
I had been listening to Kathryn Grace sing since she was a child on Facebook. Her mother is a friend of mine from my days in Noblesville Indiana. I asked Angie, if Kat would be interested in seeing what she could do with the lyrics. She was 15 at the time.
She wrote and sang her beautiful version with his lyrics, which came to be “I'm Wishing On A Star”.
Long story short, an unbelievable music director from Chicago, Craig J Snider from the Mix Kitchen, was extremely interested in working with her. Jeffery Morrow Vocal Producer/Coach from Indianapolis was contacted and was excited to work with Kathryn also. Before you know it, 6 songs and one year later a fantastic EP, “Am I Somebody” emerged. She has recently gained the interest of music representatives in New York.
